Speech-language pathologist and student animal-assisted therapy practitioner

À propos

Always having a strong interest in helping relationships, Émilie completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Bishop’s University in 2015. Desiring to specialize further in communication and language, she completed a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Université Laval in 2019. Émilie began her career as a speech-language pathologist, working primarily with preschool-aged clients and practicing in various settings such as Local Community Service Centers (CLSCs), rehabilitation centers, and private clinics.

Having an immense love for her two Golden Retrievers and always aiming to innovate and stand out in her practice, Émilie is currently completing comprehensive animal-assisted therapy training to integrate animals into her speech-language pathology interventions. She knows that by working as a team with her two furry companions, her clients will be able to achieve their goals more quickly while progressing calmly and confidently, significantly reducing stress and remaining fully motivated.
