À propos
Having been immersed in the field of special needs clients since the age of 13, Mélissa had the opportunity to discover her passion for her profession in a community organization for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities (Laura Lémerveil), where she worked for 10 years during her high school and college studies. This enriching experience led her to her profession in special education, but also allowed her to shape her approach with the various client groups she works with today. She has worked in diverse settings such as elementary schools, academic support, schools for adults with intellectual disabilities, youth centers, and daycares. Always having had the desire to help people differently, Mélissa studied at the International School of Zootherapy in 2015-2016. Today, she has her own business, Services d’interventions Mélissa Robitaille, in zootherapy and special education, where she advocates for self-fulfillment.
She firmly believes that every difficulty can be overcome and addressed. One must only take the time to discover the needs hidden behind behaviors. She intervenes with her animals in institutions and families with diverse clienteles such as mental health, intellectual and physical disabilities, autism, seniors, substance abuse, social reintegration, children, anxious individuals, people with behavioral disorders, or with attention and concentration difficulties. She also receives her clients at her equestrian mini-farm in Portneuf County to work with horses or smaller animals.
