Intervention en zoothérapie

What is animal-assisted therapy?

Animal-assisted therapy is an intervention:

  • led by a professional trained in animal-assisted therapy (the animal-assisted therapist),
  • with a trained and selected animal (the animal-assisted therapy intervention partner, also called APIZ),
  • with a person in need (the client).

The goal of animal-assisted therapy intervention is the improvement of psychological, physical, emotional, cognitive, or social well-being, according to the client's specific needs. *

The team is passionate, about animals obviously, but also about people. I’ve noticed their commitment to adapting to various clienteles (ASD, ID, severe behavioral disorders). She is also very receptive to the feedback we provide (what we want to work on, the student’s current state, their strengths and weaknesses). Thank you for your dedication!
